Who We Are

Built From Global Wage Research & International Cooperation

Launched by Daniel Vaughan-Whitehead and Auret van Heerden during the first Fair Wage conference in Washington D.C. in 2009, the Fair Wage Network aimed to advance wage practices along global supply chains integrating the Fair Wage approach at a national and international level.

The Fair Wage approach was developed and explained in the book Fair Wages written by Daniel Vaughan-Whitehead, and further developed in The Fair Wage Solution (2025), expanding the framework to meet today’s sustainability and due-diligence requirements.
